China's mission in africa

This series explains the real mission and purpose of china in africa.

The average human mostly American believes that the reason why the US went to war in Iraq was because of oil as the usually do for energy security. This is true but it's not the main reason. The real reason for the war in Iraq was because some powerful American politicians wanted it, possibly to project American power globally and in the gulf states. This war resulted in:
Death of over 10,000 Americans
Death of Over 200,000 Iraqis
Over 1 trillion tax dollars spent
and in the end, it produced a very unstable middle east. Now to explain in details.

Chapter one

On the night of 9/11 after the attacks, the US government intelligence and secret service agencies did their research and concluded that the attacks were carried out by Al queda which is a terrorist organization based in Afghanistan which was very far geographically from Iraq. Later that night the intelligence agents received a memo from the deputy secretary of defence to not look into Al queda rather focus on the involvement of Iraq in terrorism.

This left the intelligence agents perplexed as Afghanistan where Al queda was based had nothing to do with Iraq. The deputy secretary of defense at that time was Paul Wolfowitz and he was just getting started. A few days after the attack the US president George bush gathers all of his top advisers in his forest retreat. The focus of the discussion was Afghanistan and how to retaliate against Al queda. During this discussion Paul Wolfowitz popped up again with the backing of his superior Donald Rumsfeld suggesting that Al queda got help from Saddam Hussein who was the then president of Iraq. He also said that Saddam Hussein was the head of the snake when it comes to global terrorism. Everyone in the room where confused by his statement and then the head of counter terrorism Joseph Cofer Black said:

After this, the moved on with plans to attack Al queda but Paul Wolfowitz didn't give up. Later after the meeting he went to meet president George bush privately. He suggests a plan on how america can cut Saddam Hussein off from the oil in his country which catches the interest of the president bush who was a former Texas oil man. The president was also interested because he needed a clear and big target to retaliate as Al queda was too small and insignificant. it is believed that that day was when president bush decided that america was going to go to war with Iraq. This was to make himself and americans in general feel like the retaliation was definitive.

Chapter two

Over the next year, the seed that Paul Wolfowitz planted in the mind of George bush starts to spread around him and the began to find a way to sell the war to the American public and even get the British on board. The story was that Saddam Hussein had real big weapons and he would likely give those weapons to terrorists who would likely strike the united States in another 9/11 similar attack but way worst. These weapons were labelled WMDs (weapons of mass destruction). All these accusations on Saddam Hussein were false and super speculative. Even after over 700 inspections were done in Iraq and there was no proof. The resulted in full on lieing to push their propaganda. This went on until October 10th 2002 when the US Congress became fully on board and voted for the US to go to war with Iraq. And then it started.

Two months after the invasion stated, president George bush gives a speech on a giant aircraft carrier with a big banner behind him saying mission accomplished, fulfilling his dream of a triumph America which took down a dictatorship in another country. But not long after this the vision and glory starts to topple and mission accomplished turned to mission just beginning. After the war, america dissolved the entire Iraq military so as to avoid any influence of Saddam Hussein. These retired military men who were now angry at the American government and unemployment with extensive military training started joining the growing rebel groups who opposed the united States government. A major rebel group was ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria).

Then the Iraq war now turned to the united States fighting against the rebel groups which were headed by military chiefs ousted from the Iraqi military and this part was were most of the money and casualties resulted. Saddam Hussein wasn't a saint himself as he committed genocide against the Kurds, executed and imprisoned alot of people. His 25 years regime was believed to have lead to over 250,000 casualties according to human rights watch but then withing just 8 years of the US war in Iraq, way more people were killed and a power vacuum was provided for ISIS to thrive. All these for no just reason.
